Bang Tao Beach starts at Bang Tao, but we prefer to stay about 1 km north. Here you find Easy Bar, local restaurants, sun beds, and this is the beach closest tothe villa.
Layan Beach is the name of the northern end of Bang Tao Beach. Unlike the majority of Phuket’s west coast beaches, it is still a very tranquil area, where you can relax in the shade of the tall pine trees bordering the beach. Most people who visit this superb beach are Thai and expats and it all looks the same as it used to 20 years ago. The sea is pretty calm here due to the fact that the beach is sheltered by Koh Kala, a small island located at its northern part. |
Nai Thon is a beautiful stretch of sand that, for reasons unknown, has been overlooked by large resort developers. We recommend this for a change from Bang Tao Beach. It's an ideal spot to get away from the crowds and enjoy a quiet swim. The journey to the beach is almost as enjoyable as the beach itself. On the southern approach to Nai Thon, the narrow road leads through some of the island's last remaining virgin jungle, and winds along a coastline that rivals the Cote d'Azur in its brilliant beauty.
This is a beautiful and almost deserted beach. Banana Beach is not known to many people in Phuket as it is relatively isolated. Nevertheless, it really is one of Phuket's most glittering gems as far as beaches go and has the aura of a 'hidden beach'. This is about 20 minutes by car from the villa. |
