Pai Ney Fu restaurant

Pai Ney Fu restaurant
icon address  If you like a really different eating experience, the floating restaurants in the Laem Hin area have all ingredients for your future album. This is a real treat. Park near the other seafood restaurant on the shore, and get taken across in a longtail boat (they seem to do this free for restaurant customers. But give like 100 ThB tip). The restaurant is floating on boards, with holes containing live fish and other seafood in nets. We hope we remember the correct name, because previous owner had the name Black Crab Restaurant.
The neighbour island is Bang MUD, and this one is  a non-alcohol- and Halal- meat restaurant.

Temple roundtrip in Phang Nga

Temple roundtrip in Phang Nga
icon address  The plan was to visit 9 temples, but 5 was the result, as we also went to our favourite culture park in Phang Nga. And, eating the local food in this area, shop secret chilipaste from local producers, took some time.

Wat Manik

Wat Manik
icon address  Manik temple and the surrounding Manik area of Phuket is not on most visitors "must see" lists, but if you are passing this area near Cherng Talay, on the road between the Heroine's Monument and Surin Beach, you can find a very nice local temple and a very green and as yet relatively undeveloped area of Phuket.

Pesto Restaurant in Thalang

Pesto Restaurant in Thalang
icon address  Pesto is a smaller reataurant that we have been to many times. Alone, with family, or with groups of visitors. Here is what someone is saying on Tripadvisor: "This place, whilst very modest and quaint at first appearance, delivers top notch Thai and Western food at VERY cheap prices. When we first walked in and saw locals, both Thai and ex-pats eating there, we knew we were onto a good thing."

Road Trip to Phang Nga

Road Trip to Phang Nga
icon address  The roadtrip with 13 people included elephant tracking, and some amusements. Next step was the famous Monkey cave with the large Budda inside. The area is crowded with monkeys, you can buy bananas to feed them, to get the very good picture. Modelling for bananas. We can highly recommend the Monkeycave Cafe, on the road after leaveing the area. Good food, service and athmosphere.

Sarasin Bridge

Sarasin Bridge
icon address  The very famous Sarasin Bridge is the first bridge built that linked Phuket Island to the mainland of Phang Nga Province. Named after a Thai Chinese politician (the Sarasin family has been a wealthy clan involved in Thailand business and politics since the 19th century) this 700m bridge was built in 1967 to replace the ferry which was then the only connection to the mainland.

Pang Nga rafting

Pang Nga rafting
icon address  Phang-Nga's jungle-shrouded mountains are carved up by thick muddy rivers leading to aqua bays sprinkled with sheer limestone karsts and, below, some of Thailand's finest underwater treasures. We have made several trips to see the differences of this region. One option is the inland, jungle and rafting.
